Can anyone join the Society?
What happens if I decide to join part way through the season?
Yes, anyone is welcome. We offer two ways of paying, you may join for a full season at the current rate of £20, which entitles you to attend all meetings as well as voting at the AGM. Alternatively you can attend as a temporary member at any meeting for £4. We offer a reduction of 50% for students on either of these prices.
We are happy to adjust the annual fee at any point of the year, alternatively if you have paid the temporary membership we will use that as part payment towards your annual fee.
What is the format of the meeting?
Each meeting lasts around two hours with an interval where you can buy refreshments
What sort of music do you play?
IT’s mainly classical although we do venture into light music and jazz occasionally. Also as the name suggests we mainly play recorded music not live. Equally we are not a society for recording music
So far as we know none of our members collects 78s and most are not especially valuable.
